Omniscience is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect any personal information or user data. However, Omniscience requires a GitHub Personal Access Token to communicate with the GitHub API over HTTPS. This token is stored securely on your device and is never transmitted or shared with us or any third parties. The token requires the following scopes:
Required in order to access private repositories.
Required in order to see a list of organizations you are a member of.
Required in order to access user profile information.
Required in order to show GitHub notifications in the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
Omniscience uses your GitHub Personal Access Token solely for the purpose of communicating with GitHub. We do not use this information for any other purposes, such as tracking or profiling.
3. Data Security
We take data security seriously. Your GitHub Personal Access Token is stored on your device. Omniscience encrypts all data transmissions between your device and GitHub using HTTPS to ensure the security and privacy of your GitHub data.
